Born on April 16, 1987 and hailing from Lahore, Ms. Shaighan is a Law Graduate from University of London; an Advocate of the High Court and nominated as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. She is working with SOS on Urban Poverty and has also worked as a research associate on USAID's Gender Equity Program in collaboration with the Ministry of Law, Justice & Human Rights on "Creating Consensus on Pakistan's role in International Treaty Obligations & Training Public Prosecutors to take up the role of Monitors of Human Rights". Ms. Shaighan has also been teaching law; has worked with UNDP on the Gender Justice Project and as a research associate at the Flood Inquiry Commission for the Supreme Court. She has been pursuing formal training as an International Human Rights lawyer from the Human Rights Commission and is studying International Human Rights Law from Louvain and Justice from Harvard. |
